List of The Twilight Zone episodes |
A Day in Beaumont is the first segment of the twenty-fourth episode of the first season (1985-1986) of the television series The Twilight Zone.
Dr. Kevin Carlson and his fiancee are on the road and Kevin repairs his car. Suddenly, they see a spaceship and run in order to tell the sheriff what they have seen. But the sheriff doesn't believe him. Kevin sees that sheriff and others people's fingers aren't normal. He and his fiancee run but are trapped by the spaceship. The aliens say that Kevin and his fiancee aren't humans - they are actually aliens, and the entire area is a staging ground to train alien warriors for a future invasion of Earth. Some of them, such as Kevin, have forgotten who they really are and actually think they are humans.
Another man runs to the sheriff's office, and claims that he has seen a spaceship. But the sheriff tells him he's wrong. It's revealed that the sheriff is now Kevin.
The name of the town is an homage to Charles Beaumont, writer of many of the original Twilight Zone episodes.
